Auto Expo 2012: Ducati launches Rs 6.99 lakh Monster bike

Iconic Spanish mobike brand Ducati today unveiled 'Monster' model M795 with a cost tag of Rs 6.99 lakh at the Auto Expo 2012 here. The "most awaited" Monster will be available at the dealership of the company, Ducati India CEO Ashish Chordia told reporters.

This urban entry level model has been developed specially for Asia, the company said. On competition from Harley-Davidson & Triumph, Chordia said India is a fast growing market & offers space for everyone. However, they said Ducati has "no competition". "The new Monster 795 has been eagerly awaited in India & they have priced it attractively to make it simpler for Ducatisti to own their favourite brand," they said. He said Ducati's experience in India has been lovely & with the launch of M795, the company expects to increase its sales significantly.
