Childlock technology in cars

I've found that most cars have the child lock switch as a mechanical lever that must be set off in each of the rear doors of the car. Do the cars come with functionality, where the driver can operate the child lock, as the central door lock from inside the car electronically? It makes sense to me. I would like the child lock activated when a child is sitting, but have the option to disable it from my driver's seat when an adult takes that seat. Since we do not have this option, always keep the child lock. Does this make sense? Does anyone have this feature Cars India recently?
