Mahindra & Mahindra, the largest manufacturer of utility vehicles in the Indian market is all set to launch its highly anticipated global sports utility vehicles - Mahindra XUV500 car market in India today. The launching ceremony will be held in Pune at 7:30 PM.
The all new Mahindra XUV500 bold and aggressive will be the first ever luxury SUV segment of the field of M & M in the Indian market. The XUV500 is called "a global SUV 'as the company has taken into account the needs and requirements of buyers worldwide, while the development of this SUV.
The 500 XUV is expected to be released in the price range of Rs 15-20 lakh which to take their rivals as the Skoda Yeti, Toyota Fortuner, Honda CR-V, Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Captiva, Mitsubishi Outlander and BMW X1.
The much awaited SUV is expected to be driven by the same 2.2-liter engine mHawk is currently installed on the popular model of Mahindra Scorpio. The engine is capable of delivering a maximum power of 86.7 kW with maximum torque of 290 Nm. Both two-wheel and four wheel drive versions of the truck is expected to debut in the Indian car market.
Moreover, the SUV is expected to come blessed with a range of advanced features including multiple airbags, ABS (Antilock Brake System) with EBD (electronic distribution of braking force), parking sensors, cruise control etc.
