Early launch of Nissan Sunny sedan’s diesel variant

 Mumbai: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd launched the petrol version of its sedan Sunny in Mumbai on Tuesday to advance to the introduction of the diesel variant. The decision was motivated by the shift to diesel cars in India, said Gilles Normand, president of Nissan corporate vice president of Africa, Middle East and India. "We've been talking with our engineers to see if we can advance the implementation," Normand said, adding that the proportion of gasoline to diesel engines in India has tilted in favor of the latter, from 45:55 to 20: 80 above.
